For quite some time I have observed a LOM warning in VMware health status tab on an HPE Proliant ML350 Gen10 server. It seems like it reports the warning on two NIC that are down, even though there are unused by ESXi.
Warning
[Device] I/O Module 3 LOM_Link_P3
[Device] I/O Module 4 LOM_Link_P4
The new ILO5 version 1.37 seems to have fixed the issue – if the warning persists after updating, then try to clear the IML log on the ILO.
Happy updating!

Hi Christian, you can also disable the adaptors in the BIOS. That will get rid of the warnings as well.

Hi Brian,
Honestly, I don’t know if you can disable single interfaces on the build in 4x1G LOM adapter – but if possible, it also sound like a good approach. Of course, a tradeoff would be that the server needs a reboot if you decide to use the adapters at a later point in time.
Thanks for the input!
I upgraded to version 2.55 and the error still appears on the boards. Also delete the IML.
Did you also try to hit “refresh” in the alert window under “alerts and warnings” ?
